About The Position
At Northland Heights Senior Living, located in the North Hills, we are hiring a passionate Cook to help cultivate a wonderful dining experience for our residents. As our Cook, you will have the opportunity to show off your culinary skills, assist in curating the menu alongside our Culinary Director, and help maintain a clean and healthy kitchen environment by compliance standards.
Requirements
- Lifting Requirements: up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to cook and manage a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Experience with kitchen compliance standards.
- Experience with special diets, seasoning requirements, cooking times, and temperature controls
Nice To Haves
- Assisted Living experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Cooks and handles foods in large quantities that are palatable, appetizing, and attractively presented.
- Assists with training cooks on how to properly prepare, cook, and present meals in a manner that is safe and sanitary.
- Help to maintain the inventory of food on hand and assures that the inventory is sufficient to permit preparation and service of meals in the event of an emergency for a minimum of three days.
- Follows a schedule and assists with placing orders for all food items needed for operation.
