About The Position

DaySpring, Inc. is a Christian, faith-based organization seeking a dependable, organized, and caring Cook who takes pride in preparing quality meals and creating a positive dining experience for the older adults we serve. At DaySpring, mealtime is more than just serving food—it's an important part of our residents' day. The Cook will be responsible for preparing and serving meals according to established menus and recipes while making sure food is ready on time, presented well, and prepared with residents' individual needs and preferences in mind. This role emphasizes building relationships with residents and making DaySpring feel like home through thoughtful meal preparation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to menus and recipes
• Ensure meals are ready and served on schedule

• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen
• Follow food-safety and sanitation requirements
• Properly care for kitchen equipment and utensils
• Complete required food-service documentation, including temperatures and meal records
• Work efficiently while minimizing waste
