About The Position

The Line Cook is described as an all-around ninja, responsible for prepping ingredients and plating dishes cleanly and quietly, especially in open kitchens. The Food and Beverage areas are designed to be a culinary hub for gatherings, open for all meal periods and late-night snacks, aiming to make locals and visitors feel at home. The position is for a hard worker driven by learning and excitement to create great guest experiences daily, executing recipes that impact every hotel outlet.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must have at least 1-2 years of savory line experience.
  • Great team player with the ability to create excellent working relationships across the group.
  • Ability to adapt to change in menus and concepts
  • Strong communication skills to all team members.
  • Knife skills are a must
  • Creativity and innovation are essential!
  • Product knowledge, and the ability to research if unknown.
  • Find solutions before problems arise.
  • Must know weights and measurements
  • Anticipate needs and over deliver wherever possible
  • Candidates must think on their feet and use their initiative to solve problems and deliver solutions
  • Comply with all safety and health department procedures, ensuring kitchens are clean, organized, sanitary, and proper temperature procedures are in place.
  • Organization, ensuring mise en place is in place.
  • Able to change direction and work on multiple project aspects at once as needed.

  • Current, legal and unrestricted ability to work in the United States
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Food Service Handler Card that is currently valid for a minimum of at least 6 months

Nice To Haves

  • 2-3 years’ experience in a full service restaurant or lounge and hotel experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparing recipes that come off your line, ensuring consistent taste every time.
  • Prep the line and work the line putting up plates, handling many different cuisines across all outlets.
  • Maintain strong communication with teammates, listening and adapting as needed.
  • Follow health codes, ensuring a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment with proper use of sanitation buckets, sharpies, and labels for fresh product.
  • Work as part of a team, treating everyone with respect and offering help when needed.
