We’re hiring Cooks to join our culinary team supporting the Cincinnati REDS in Goodyear, AZ. Seasonal full-time roles available | $19.50–$21/hr based on experience

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of culinary experience
  • Excellent knowledge of kitchen equipment, safe sanitary practices, and a general culinary skillset including: knife cuts, basic cooking techniques, proper food handling and storage (HACCP knowledge a huge plus)
  • Strong creativity and interest in building healthy meals with lots of flavor. Nutrition is key to sustainable energy!
  • Ability to develop, document, and follow recipes as needed. As a member of this team research and development will be a responsibility for all culinary associates
  • A working knowledge of culinary nutrition will help you succeed in this role. Each team member must be able to adjust recipes as needed based on headcount and overall production
  • Willingness to help others and a desire to learn
  • Adaptable, ability to work successfully under changing circumstances
  • Confidence in the work you do, professional demeanor, and a service first attitude are a must
  • Able to work non-standard work week, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays
  • Ability to commute to Goodyear, AZ
  • Food Handler/ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Willingness to complete background check and drug screening
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year of sports-based culinary nutrition experience with collegiate and/or professional athletes is highly desired

Responsibilities

  • Cross-train and work all stations: garde manger, saucier, sauté, grill, grab/go prep, and a la carte production
  • Receive and store grocery orders (must be able to lift over 50#)
  • Uphold the integrity and standards of all the products
  • Maintain sanitation, cleanliness, and organization of kitchen at all times
