About The Position

Entry level Cook position responsible for the timely preparation of all food orders received on the line at assigned location to ensure guest satisfaction.

Requirements

Possess knowledge of food quality standards and understanding of service and atmosphere as they relate to the line cook position.
Must be dependable and reliable.
Working knowledge of food service equipment and utensils
Knowledge of federal and state sanitation guidelines
Physically capable of remaining on feet for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must meet Tribal/State compact licensing requirements, pass criminal background check and submit to drug testing.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or General Education Equivalency (GED)
Prefer previous experience in the food service industry

Responsibilities

Prepares food according to menu and prep cook standards.
Preps food for Senior Cooks.
Make soup according to recipes.
Operates fryers and cooks on grill.
Stocks inventory as needed.
Delivers exceptional internal and external guest service standards.
Meets expectations of line/prep cook positions and performance standards.
Maintains full understanding of each line position and responsibilities at each station
Learns and understands menu and food preparation at all stations.
Understands the impact of the kitchen staff on guest satisfaction
Meets or exceeds kitchen sanitation standards
Meets ticket time goals
Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole.
Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training.
Maintains confidentiality at all times.
Is sensitive to Native American Culture.
Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations.
Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
Performs other duties as assigned.
