About The Position
Come join us at Lourdes Noreen-McKeen Residence! A Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, we've served the community since 1960. We are a place of life, a place of caring, and more importantly, a true home for our residents. We are seeking to hire a Cook - Part-Time.
Requirements
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
- 1 year minimum institutional cooking experience.
- MUST PASS A LEVEL II Background check after Offer of Employment.
Nice To Haves
- Hospital/Nursing home experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook to order foods requiring short and broader preparation time.
- May cook and serve customers at an a la carte or grill station.
- Follow basic recipes and/or product directions for meal preparation.
- Utilize a variety of kitchen equipment for food and meal preparation.
- Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment as needed.
- Attend all allergy and foodborne illness in-service training.
- Produce small to large batch goods using advanced and full range of classical cooking techniques.
