About The Position
Growing Kids Learning Center in Warsaw is seeking a Full-time Cook to join their passionate team. This family-owned center, established in 1995, serves children from 6 weeks to elementary age in Northern Indiana. The center's mission is to Protect, Educate, and Inspire. The role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on learning, building relationships, and contributing to children's growth. The company supports professional development, including assistance with earning ServSafe certification, within a supportive, family-like environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Must pass background check, drug screen, TB test, and physical
- Able to lift 25lbs and stand for long periods
Nice To Haves
- 1+ year of facility-based experience (preferred)
- Team-focused, proactive attitude
Responsibilities
- Place weekly food orders
- Keep a safe, clean, and organized kitchen
- Support children’s growth and milestones with nutritious meals
- Communicate with parents, families, and staff about food substitutions
- Work as part of a collaborative team
