About The Position

Heritage Woods of Sterling is seeking a Full-Time Cook for their 1st shift. This role involves preparing a diverse menu that accommodates various dietary preferences and restrictions, while adhering to safety and sanitation protocols. The Cook will also maintain food service areas and engage with residents in a compassionate manner, reflecting the values of love, compassion, and dignity. Continuous learning and development are encouraged.

Requirements

• Must hold current ServSafe Manager certification
• High School graduate or GED equivalent required
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Must demonstrate the ability to serve with love, compassion, and dignity

Responsibilities

• Prepares a diverse menu that incorporates a variety of dietary preferences and accommodates for various restrictions
• Demonstrates dedication to high-quality dietary services while ensuring compliance to safety and sanitation protocols
• Maintains food service areas including the kitchen and dining areas
• Engages with residents in a compassionate and impactful manner, cultivating a warm and supportive environment where the values of love, compassion, and dignity are reflected in every interaction
• Participates in continuous learning and development opportunities through attendance and participation in educational seminars, staff meetings, and other learning experiences
