About The Position

We are searching for an experienced Cook for a medical facility located in Jacksonville, TX. This position involves preparing, cooking, and plating meals for patients, staff, and special events, following specific recipes and portion guidelines. The role also requires adherence to all sanitation and food safety protocols, including temperature control, proper storage, and maintaining a clean work area. Additionally, the cook will monitor and order food supplies, and track inventory to ensure freshness and availability. Assistance in other areas or duties as assigned may also be required.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a healthcare setting is required.
• Proficient in cooking and food prep techniques.
• Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and nutrition.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and dietary instructions accurately.
• Knowledge of operation of kitchen equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to pass a nationwide background check and a drug screening test.
