About The Position
The Cook performs culinary duties and helps maintain a clean, organized, professional, and safe kitchen environment. Responsibilities include preparing and storing food according to specifications and health requirements, maintaining food freshness and inventory records, cleaning kitchen areas and equipment, assisting with stewarding, and participating in catered events. No prior experience is necessary. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent experience, basic computer skills, the ability to follow direction and manage tasks efficiently, and a clean, sanitary appearance.

Responsibilities
- Prepare food according to specifications and stock, and keep the kitchen and other areas clean.
- Keep food areas clean and store food properly at the end of each shift according to health specifications.
- Ticket and date food items with the employee’s name to ensure freshness, and receive and account for stocked items.
- Wash work areas, including refrigerators, and utensils; break down trash and boxes and move them to the proper area.
- Stock food in coolers and on proper shelves to meet Department of Health regulations.
- Record and report food lost due to spoilage or overproduction.
- Assist with stewarding duties, including washing pots, pans, kitchen utensils, serving bowls, serving dishes, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain a sanitary, organized, and safe kitchen work area and environment.
- Help conduct inventory when necessary, especially for high-cost items.
- Participate in catered events.
- Take on other duties as assigned by the manager.
