About The Position

This position is located at Samuel Adams Brewhouse. This is an open continuous announcement to provide a pool of available applicants. Applicants will be referred to selecting officials based on the date of application. Applicants will be referred to hiring manager throughout the announcement, cutoff dates will be Oct 15th, Oct 29th, Nov 12th. This announcement will remain open until closing date or once the positions have been filled.

Requirements

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a medical examination.
  • Incumbent may be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
  • Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Health and immunization screening are required.

  • Work experience in preparing foods and cooking simple foods and short orders in a cafeteria, restaurant, or mess.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a full range of simple cooking by preparing and cooking items that require little or no processing.
  • Prepares hot cereals and concentrated or dehydrated soups, sauces and gravies.
  • Makes cold sandwich fillings.
  • Sets up and replenishes salad bar.
  • Prepares food by peeling, chopping, grinding, paring, cutting, slicing, dicing, pureeing, dredging, flouring, or breading.
  • Weighs, measures, and assembles ingredients for regular and modified menu items.
  • Mixes ingredients according to precisely written recipes.
  • Covers, dates, and stores leftovers according to established procedures.
  • Operates a variety of kitchen equipment using gas, electricity, steam or microwave heat sources.
  • Disassembles, cleans and assembles component parts and accessories.
  • Cleans other work areas and equipment, such as worktables, floors, walk-in refrigerators, etc., on an established cleaning schedule.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
