About The Position

The Cook is responsible for providing high-quality meals to residents, guests, and staff. Duties include preparing food according to the daily planner and Senior Lifestyle standard recipes, working the food line during mealtimes, and ensuring food safety and kitchen sanitation standards are met. The Cook also responds promptly to resident and guest needs and requests while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and coworkers. This is a part-time position for 24 hours per week at Addington Place of Jupiter.

Requirements

ServeSafe certification.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English.
Possess or be willing to obtain necessary food-handling and sanitation licenses.
Basic computer skills, including entry-level proficiency with Excel and Word.
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables where limited standardization exists.
Ability to maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward residents and coworkers.

Nice To Haves

Experience in production cooking and/or preparing therapeutic diets.
