About The Position

Confidence Management Solutions (CMS) is currently recruiting experienced Cooks for long-term care nursing facilities in Castleton-On-Hudson, NY. We are hiring for both Full-Time and Part-Time positions. Previous experience in a Nursing Home, Senior Living, Hospital, or Healthcare setting is required. We offer on-the-job training and welcome walk-ins to fill out applications in person.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 1 year Nursing Home, Senior Living, Hospital, or Healthcare Required!
• Minimum one (1) year experienced in large-scale cooking.

Nice To Haves

• ServSafe Certification preferred or will become ServSafe certified after hired.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food according to standardized recipes to provide residents with consistently accurate, tasteful, and cost-effective meals.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that the food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty.
• Tastes all prepared food items for quality control.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining standards of cleanliness.
• Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.
• Will manage the kitchen in the absence of the Food Service Director.
• Perform other job-related duties as they become required.
