Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED & a valid drivers license
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication
  • Competent in organizational, time management skills
  • Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills

Responsibilities

  • Handles all foods in accordance with sanitary procedures/standards and complies with all federal, state and local regulatory procedures regarding food production.
  • Does food prep for large quantities (similar to cafeteria or banquet preparation).
  • Helps deliver the meals to the buildings.
  • Washes dishes.
  • Preparation along with food delivery and cleaning work area.
  • Preparation of meals, sanitation of food service areas, accurate record keeping, receiving, rotating/inventory of products.
  • Adhere to production sheets and instructions, completing all tasks in a timely manner.
  • Monitors all food items to see that at least the minimum guidelines for temperature, taste and quality are upheld at all times.
  • Maintains sanitary conditions to ensure safety and compliance with regulations; responsible for cleaning work areas and doing dishes.
  • Follows all local, state and federal policies regarding food handling.
  • Maintains Health Department standards of personal hygiene/health.
  • Transports insulated food containers on dollies to the various cottages and other locations on campus using a company vehicle.
