About The Position

Living Grace Assisted Living and Memory Care in Tracy, CA, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook to join our Culinary Team. Requirements

Must be 18 years or older.
Health Screening Report (LIC 503) and Criminal Record Statement (LIC 508).
Fingerprint and background clearance as required by the State of California.
TB test clearance.
First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Compliance with all state and community policies and procedures.
Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift 40–50 lbs regularly.
Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).

Nice To Haves

Experience in cooking in a healthcare, senior living, or similar environment preferred.
Understanding of food safety, dietary restrictions, and senior dietary needs.
Strong teamwork and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and maintain a positive, professional demeanor under pressure.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve high-quality meals according to scheduled meal times and resident dietary plans.
Ensure safe food handling, proper sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness at all times.
Support inventory control, monitor food waste, and report supply issues to the Culinary Director.
Follow resident diet orders and maintain accurate meal count records.
Supervise Culinary Aides in the absence of the Culinary Director.
Collaborate with the care team to meet each resident’s nutritional and personal needs.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen in accordance with all health regulations.
