About The Position

We are hiring immediately for on call COOK positions. This role is responsible for preparing food in accordance with applicable federal, state and corporate standards, guidelines and regulations with established policies and procedures. Ensures quality food service is provided at all times. The position requires preparing high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules. Serving meals or preparing for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty. The role also involves tasting all prepared food items, using established ticket collection procedures during service, and being responsible for records from the area worked during service periods. Cleaning the kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and storing or discarding excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures are also key duties. The Cook will keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat, ensure food and supply items are stored per standards, and operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed. Assistance with production planning, record keeping and reporting, as well as ordering and receiving of all food and supplies, is required. The Cook must report needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately and attend in-service and safety meetings. Maintaining good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers, and performing job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment are essential. Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards. Personal commitment to your own safety and that of others. Abides by all Company policies and procedures including but not limited to safety guidelines for handling knives, hot pans, and proper lifting techniques.

Requirements

• Previous 5 years of high volume cooking experience required.

Responsibilities
