About The Position

Juniper Communities is seeking a seasoned professional who is comfortable with short-order scratch cooking; skilled in dicing, slicing, and chopping vegetables efficiently; able to read and follow recipes; and committed to cleaning as they work while maintaining the highest sanitation standards. The ideal candidate also has a passion for going above and beyond to deliver customer satisfaction. This role assists the Executive Chef/Dining Services Director in the preparation of meals and provides excellent customer service. Requirements

• A High School Diploma and experience in culinary arts or food service.
• Must be able to handle 50-60 covers per hour
• Must be able to follow written recipes
• Must be able follow written and verbal directions
• Must be able to understand and execute tickets
• Knowledge of volume food preparation.
• Knowledge and ability to operate food service equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for residents, associates, and visitors.
• Assist in the coordination of effective communication among dining team and resident assistants.
• Work closely with the Connections Director and the Director of Sales and Marketing in the planning and implementation of special events.
• Maintain necessary records and complete administrative paperwork as required.
• Follow established safety regulations, including fire protection, infection control, and equipment safety.
