About The Position

We are pleased to announce a wonderful opportunity for a Cook. This role involves preparing food for the restaurant on property, banquets, and special functions at a high quality. The Cook will properly and efficiently prepare and present all food items to be served, including accommodating special guest requests. Responsibilities also include rotating food in walk-ins and freezers to minimize waste and spoilage, maintaining internal cleanliness of all food prep areas, and assisting with ordering necessary food supplies as directed. The Cook must follow all specifications and properly set up hot and cold line stations, communicate all guest requests to an appropriate person or supervisor in a timely and professional manner, and immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions. Maintaining cleanliness and safety of work areas at all times, practicing safe work habits to avoid injury, and complying with company and departmental safety rules and regulations are essential. The role also includes performing all other tasks, including cross-training, as directed.

Requirements

Thorough knowledge and understanding of restaurant operations that encompasses food and beverage, restaurant and banquet service techniques, as well as, health and safety regulations
Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing
Capacity to work under pressure and perform well under stressful situations
