About The Position

The purpose of this position is to prepare, cook, and serve food in a sanitary manner according to the posted menu using furnished standardized recipes and procedures. This role ensures food is served at proper temperatures and at scheduled times, and is responsible for serving diets according to physician's diet orders.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Food handler’s certification card
• Must enjoy working with residents and have good interpersonal skills
• Must be able to work with and relate to residents with dementia
• Must be able to work independently, efficiently and effectively
• Must be able to follow written procedures and communications
• Must present self in a professional manner and appearance at all times
• Must be dependable, honest and trustworthy
• Must be able to supervise staff in the absence of Dietary Manager
• Must have positive attitude with concept of culture change

Nice To Haves

• Health care dietary experience preferred
