About The Position

The Cook is responsible for preparing a variety of food items using various cooking methods such as sautéing, broiling, frying, baking, and grilling. This role involves operating kitchen equipment, ensuring ingredient supply levels are accurate, and maintaining a sanitary and organized work area. The Cook must adhere to safety and health codes, demonstrate proper product knowledge, and effectively communicate with team members.

Requirements

  • Ability to prepare, sauté, broil, fry, bake, and grill food items.
  • Proficiency in operating kitchen equipment such as grill, fryer, broiler, oven, and French top.
  • Ability to perform preliminary preparation work in a timely manner.
  • Skill in ensuring ingredient supply levels are accurate.
  • Ability to move items from shelves to carts and transport them to assigned stations.
  • Ability to maintain required part of food items in assigned station.
  • Knowledge of maintaining a sanitary and organized work area.
  • Understanding of proper safety and health codes and regulations.
  • Ability to ensure assigned areas are clean and free of debris.
  • Demonstrated proper care, storage, use, and cleaning of tools and equipment.
  • Competent product knowledge for storing and handling perishables.
  • Ability to prepare food products according to standard recipes and specifications.
  • Effective communication skills with team members.
  • Willingness to assist with other job-related duties.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, sauté, broil, fry, bake, and grill food items in accordance with kitchen needs.
  • Operate grill, fryer, broiler, oven, and French top in accordance with kitchen needs.
  • Perform preliminary preparation work in a timely manner.
  • Ensure ingredient supply levels are accurate.
  • Move items from shelves to carts and transport them to assigned stations for restocking.
  • Maintain the required part of food items in their assigned station from support areas throughout the property.
  • Maintain a sanitary and organized work area.
  • Understand and regularly maintain proper safety and health codes and regulations.
  • Ensure all assigned areas are clean and free of debris.
  • Demonstrate proper care, storage, use, and cleaning of all tools and equipment.
  • Demonstrate competent product knowledge by correctly storing and handling all perishables, maintaining quality, security, values, and integrity.
  • Prepare food products according to standard recipes and specifications.
  • Effectively communicate with other team members, including service and kitchen maintenance personnel.
  • Assist with any other job-related duties that may be assigned.
