About The Position

Draft Kings Restaurant is seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The Cook will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items according to recipes and internal standards, ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests. This role requires strong organizational skills, a commitment to cleanliness and safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about food safety, maintain excellent communication with team members, and uphold all company policies and regulations.

Requirements

  • 1 year Cook experience in a fast-paced environment, required
  • Food Handler Certification, required
  • High School Diploma/GED, required
  • Must be able to work Weekends, Nights and Holidays
  • Able to effectively communicate in English via verbal and written
  • Hep A vaccination

Responsibilities

  • Participate regularly in departmental and company meetings.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, treating guests and coworkers with respect.
  • Effectively communicate with front of house and back of house team members.
  • Work clean and in a safe and sanitary manner at all times.
  • Follow recipes and internal standards to produce batch recipes and menu items for service.
  • Properly operate, clean, and maintain kitchen equipment.
  • Set and keep workstation and surrounding areas properly stocked, clean, safe, and organized.
  • Be knowledgeable in the products the company serves.
  • Comply with all rules, regulations, and policies of the culinary department, company, and state/local laws.
  • Follow the company’s attendance policy and other rules and regulations.
  • Satisfactorily complete assignable work tasks requested by departmental leaders.
  • Abide by all health department rules/regulations.
  • Understand time and temperature controls and have a working knowledge of food safety.
  • Communicate all guest service opportunities, quality issues, and product shortages to management.
  • Proactively prioritize needs and effectively manage resources.
  • Immediately report any safety hazards, problems, or maintenance issues to the appropriate party.
  • Ensure customer service standards are met and retained.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
