About The Position

Recovery Works NW is seeking a Cook for their 16-bed, home-style medically managed withdrawal management facility. This role offers flexibility, creative freedom in menu planning, and a chance to use food as comfort and connection in recovery. The position is for weekend shifts only, Saturday and Sunday from 7 am to 6 pm.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Current food handlers permit
Knowledge of therapeutic and modified diets commonly used in a clinical setting
Understanding of proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices
Ability to read and interpret recipes, menus, and production sheets
Current CPR certification, or willingness to obtain via company-paid class within 6 weeks of hire
Position is contingent on passing an OHA Background check and successful completion of a urine analysis (UA) after accepting job offer

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a cook in a healthcare or institutional food service setting is preferred

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals according to dietary requirements and portion control guidelines
Ensure that food is prepared and presented in an attractive and appetizing manner
Collaborate with the detox staff to plan menus, estimate food requirements, and order necessary supplies
Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, and proper food storage and rotation
Maintain accurate records of food production, temperature logs, and other required documentation
Utilize infection control protocols and allergen management
