About The Position

Epworth Villa invites experienced culinary professionals to bring their talent and passion to our kitchen. As a faith-based, nonprofit Life Plan Community, our mission is to Enhance Lives so People Thrive. Every meal we serve plays an important role in providing comfort, nutrition, and meaningful daily experiences for our residents. Our kitchen operates daily from 5:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. This is a Full-Time position. Applicants must have flexible availability to meet operational needs. Shifts may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

Minimum of two (2) years of professional cooking experience required.
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, and a collaborative team-oriented mindset.

Nice To Haves

Experience in healthcare, senior living, or high-volume food service environments preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare high-quality meals according to approved menus while maintaining consistency and attention to detail.
Receive, label, store, and rotate food products in compliance with food safety standards.
Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen environment.
Collaborate effectively with culinary and dietary team members to ensure efficient daily operations.
Properly clean, shut down, and secure kitchen equipment and work areas at the end of each shift.
Accurately document food temperatures and complete required logs in a timely manner.
Contribute to a positive dining experience that supports resident satisfaction and well-being.
