Prepares food in accordance with applicable federal, state and corporate standards, guidelines and regulations with established policies and procedures. Ensures quality food service is provided at all times. This role involves preparing high-quality food items according to standardized recipes, serving meals with correct portioning and temperature, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, storing food properly, operating and maintaining kitchen equipment, assisting with production planning, record keeping, reporting, and ordering/receiving supplies. The cook is also responsible for reporting maintenance needs, faulty equipment, or accidents, attending meetings, maintaining good working relationships, and performing duties safely while adhering to company policies and HACCP standards.
