As a Cook at the Hotel Oceana Santa Monica’s Sandpiper Restaurant, you are responsible for preparing meals and following establishment recipes to deliver the high-quality meals our guests expect. The How… Throughout each shift, you prepare ingredients, adhere to the menu, and follow food health and safety procedures to cook meals to order. You will maintain a safe food service environment by regularly cleaning workstations and equipment and assisting other cooks and the Chef in delivering food in a fast-paced environment. Your attention to detail in the dining environment, focused on food safety, will help ensure a positive dining experience. Your friendly, efficient, and high-touch approach is perfect for engaging team members throughout the day to ensure the kitchen executes all orders flawlessly, whether dine-in or room service. Your organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for assisting all kitchen and service staff members in contributing to effective restaurant operations. Your prior year-plus work experience as a cook, steward, or other related position and relevant training in food preparation for a fine-dining kitchen is helpful for quickly acclimating to the job responsibilities.
