About The Position

The Hilton Milwaukee is seeking a dedicated Cook II for the Miller Time Pub to join their dynamic team. This role is responsible for setting up and maintaining food production operations while ensuring quality control standards are met for all food prepared and served in the restaurant. The Hilton Milwaukee has recently completed a $40 million renovation, elevating its guest rooms, event spaces, and grand lobby. Connected to the newly expanded Baird Center, it is the city's largest hotel and a historic gem. The Hilton Milwaukee is an equal opportunity employer.

Requirements

Previous cooking experience required.
Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays.
Ability to work under pressure.
Sufficient manual dexterity of hand in order to use all kitchen equipment, i.e., knives, spoons, spatulas, tongs, slicers, etc.
Ability to lift, push, or pull weights up to 100 pounds.
Ability to stand for long periods, work in a confined space with high levels of noise and frequent interruptions and perform duties within extreme temperature ranges.
Ability to obtain any local, state or federal license or certification for sanitation, liquor service, or food service certification.

Nice To Haves

1-2 years in a similar position preferred.
Culinary or Apprenticeship program preferred.
High school diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare station-specific food items according to recipes, ensuring consistency and quality.
Monitor product storage, portion sizes, and special items like stocks and sauces.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas to meet Health Department regulations.
Ensure equipment is clean, sanitized, and operational.
Uphold high standards of food production and presentation.
Maintain personal hygiene and sanitation practices.
Manage station setup, breakdown, and prep work.
Follow recipe specifications for all food preparation.
