About The Position

We are looking for a full-time cook with experience in long term care or other healthcare setting who is able to be flexible to work Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every fourth Wednesday at the Gardens at Luther Park Community.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Must have ServSafe certificate or be able to acquire within allotted time frame
Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment physical, TB test and Drug Screen
Must be able to fluently read, write, speak and understand the English language

Nice To Haves

Experience with therapeutic and modified diets preferred
Experience working in a long-term care or other healthcare facility setting is preferred

Responsibilities

Prepare food items for the current meal.
Place hot food items on cart to go upstairs to steam table.
Place items on steam table and take and record temps.
Serve lunch to Small Dining Room, Room Trays then Large Dining Room.
After lunch, remove pans from Steam Table, wash steam table and bring pans down to be washed.
Start prep for next meal.
Check menu for next day to see what needs to be pulled from freezer.
Take food temps and record.
Do daily cleaning by following posted cleaning schedule.
Sweep and mop work area before going home, lock all doors and place keys in locker.
