About The Position

This full-time Cook position is located at Kindred Hospital Bay Area – St. Petersburg, offering morning, day, and evening shifts. The role is with HHS, a private, family-owned business established in 1975, which provides comprehensive support services including housekeeping, food, and facility management to nearly 1,000 customers across various sectors like healthcare, aviation, and education. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals for patients, visitors, and hospital staff, strictly following company recipes and guidelines. Key aspects of the role include maintaining a clean and organized work area, adhering to all cleaning, sanitation, and closing procedures, and ensuring compliance with the facility’s health and safety policies. You will also be expected to assist team members and management to ensure the department operates efficiently. Applicants must successfully pass a background check and drug screen, and provide proof of employment eligibility in the U.S. Additionally, many healthcare facilities, including potentially this one, require employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen (fast food, hotel operations, healthcare)
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment
  • Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform
  • Applicants must pass a background check
  • Applicants must pass a drug screen
  • Provide proof of employment eligibility in the U.S.
  • Many healthcare facilities require employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption in place
