About The Position
We are seeking a cross-trained Dietary Aide / Cook to join our long-term care team. In this dual-role position, you'll rotate between cooking and dietary aide responsibilities to help ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent resident service.
Requirements
- Dependable, flexible, and team-oriented individuals
- Willingness to work in both cook and dietary aide roles
- Food service experience required (healthcare/LTC preferred)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets a plus
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals following standardized recipes and therapeutic diet guidelines
- Accurately portion and plate meals for modified diets (mechanical soft, pureed, diabetic, etc.)
- Assist with tray line service, dishwashing, and kitchen cleanup
- Maintain food safety, proper temperatures, and sanitation compliance
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and inspection-ready
- Provide friendly, respectful service to residents
