About The Position

Personal Touch Food Service, Inc. is seeking a skilled and dependable Cook to join our school cafeteria team at Jamestown Community College. The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals to students and staff in a safe, clean, and efficient environment that supports a positive dining experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a positive attitude.
• Dependable and punctual, with a strong track record of showing up ready to work.
• Ability to work well with others as part of a team, including coworkers, school staff, and students.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, noisy school cafeteria environment.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Must pass all background checks and comply with school and company health and safety requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Prior food service or school cafeteria experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with planned menus and standardized recipes
• Ensure all food is cooked and held at proper temperatures
• Assist with food prep, portioning, and service during meal periods
• Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness
• Monitor inventory levels and notify supervisor of supply needs
• Assist in receiving and storing deliveries properly
• Comply with all federal, state, and local health regulations, as well as school and company policies
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and cafeteria staff
