Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Able to read and follow standardized recipes
• Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures
• Able to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere

• Passion for cooking
• Minimum 2 years of cooking experience

Responsibilities

• Follow established policies and procedures as directed by the Dietary Manager.
• Run the kitchen when needed.
• Serve a well-balanced meal.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary dining hall.
• Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures.
• Rotate stock items as per established procedures.
• Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen is cleaned, sanitized, and stocked at the end of your shift.
• Demonstrate the ability to work well with our residents and staff.
