About The Position

This is a temporary position for a Cook Trainee in commercial cooking. The role involves cooking sauces in large commercial kettles according to batch requirements and ensuring all bags are properly labeled with defined ingredients for the product to be cooked. The trainee will also use electric or manual pallet jacks to move ingredient packages.

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of measurements is required.
  • Will train on cooking processes.
  • Experience with electric or manual pallet jacks.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with forklift is a plus.
  • Culinary training/experience.
  • Sous chef experience.

Responsibilities

  • Cook sauces in large commercial kettles following the batch requirements.
  • Ensure all bags are properly labeled with defined ingredients for product to be cooked.
  • Use electric or manual pallet jacks to move 50lb bags and ingredient packages (weight between 10lb - 30lbs).
