About The Position

Morningstar Living is seeking a Full-Time Cook Supervisor for their Moravian Hall Square Campus in Nazareth, PA. This role offers a unique culinary opportunity with a set schedule (11:30 am - 8:00 pm), comprehensive benefits, and a rotation of every other weekend and holiday. The Cook Supervisor is responsible for the overall operation of the Main Kitchen, ensuring correct food production techniques, adherence to recipes, and maintaining food presentation and quality. This includes completing HACCP documentation for food, refrigerator, and freezer temperatures, as well as cleaning checklists. The role is hands-on, involving preparing and serving food to residents in the Health and Wellness Center, and maintaining the safety, sanitation, and equipment of the Main Kitchen during their shift. The Cook Supervisor also supervises Prep Cooks and Utility personnel.

Requirements

Minimum of five (5) years of cooking experience, preferably in batch cooking
Two (2) years of supervisory experience preferred
Dependable, consistent, and team-oriented
Ability to interact positively with residents and coworkers
Must possess self-direction in management of time, work & related activities
Must be able to enforce policy and procedures

Responsibilities

Prepares quality food and serves residents in a safe and courteous manner.
Responsible for the quality and quantity of food prepared and served.
Supervises, trains, and supports team members by overseeing onboarding, coaching, performance evaluations, disciplinary processes, and adherence to service and uniform standards.
Conducts daily culinary services meetings with main kitchen culinary staff, HC and PC supervisors.
