This role involves preparing special diets as needed, monitoring dietary aides, and overseeing food production and portion control. The Cook Supervisor also monitors stock in the absence of the Food Service Operational Manager, provides training and counseling to staff, and enforces dietary policies and procedures to maintain a safe and professional work environment. Key responsibilities include monitoring food storage temperatures, labeling and storing leftovers, completing cleaning assignments, and maintaining high sanitation standards in the kitchen. The role also involves completing paperwork for new residents, acting as an example for other dietary employees, entering data for meal tickets, and maintaining a professional demeanor. Performs other duties as assigned within the dietary department's mission.
