About The Position

This role directly supervises food-service associates in accordance with policies, procedures and applicable laws.

Requirements

  • Must be able to advise management of purchasing requirements with a focus on minimizing waste and avoiding product shortages.
  • Must be able to use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
  • Must be able to operate and clean equipment in accordance with department procedures after each use.
  • Must be able to store, label and date food items according to policy; maintain established food rotations in storage in order to minimize spoilage and waste.
  • Must be able to follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
  • Must be able to operate food-service equipment in a safe manner and according to established policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to help serve meals and remain present during scheduled meal periods to receive customer comments and feedback.

  • Florida Level 2 background screening may be required for certain positions.

Responsibilities

  • Trains employees; plans, assigns and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines associates; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
