About The Position

We are hiring immediately for a full time COOK SUPERVISOR position. The Cook Supervisor directly supervises food-service associates in accordance with policies, procedures and applicable laws. This role involves training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; and addressing complaints and resolving problems. The position also advises management of purchasing requirements with a focus on minimizing waste and avoiding product shortages. The Cook Supervisor uses approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control. They operate and clean equipment in accordance with department procedures after each use, and store, label, and date food items according to policy, maintaining established food rotations in storage to minimize spoilage and waste. Following HACCP guidelines is crucial for ensuring the quality and safety of the food supply. The role also involves operating food-service equipment safely and according to established policies and procedures, helping to serve meals, and remaining present during scheduled meal periods to receive customer comments and feedback. Other duties as assigned are also part of this role.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of cooking experience is required.
