About The Position

The CTHCA Cook Senior is responsible for preparing meals in a long-term care setting. This role requires knowledge of safe food handling practices, the ability to process diet changes, and work a flexible schedule. The position is located at the CTCC in Nespelem, WA.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of Long Term Care cooking experience.
• Ability to read, write, and understand the English language.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Must successfully clear a criminal history background inquiry with BCCU that indicates no felony or conviction on the DSHS Secretary’s List of Crimes and Negative Actions.

Nice To Haves

• Food Handlers card within 5 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to established menus and recipes.
• Ensure safe and proper food handling, storage, and disposal practices.
• Process diet changes and new diet orders as received from the Nursing department.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
• Adhere to all facility policies and procedures.
