About The Position

Broadway Manor, a 49-bed facility in Milton, PA, dedicated to providing personal care to individuals with mental illness and other health needs, is seeking a Cook to join our team. The Cook will be responsible for assisting with meal preparation, ensuring food safety standards are met, and supporting the dietary department in menu planning and catering activities.

Requirements

Prior experience in a kitchen setting or similar role preferred.
Familiarity with food safety guidelines and practices.
Knowledge of menu planning is a plus.
Experience in assisting with catering activities is beneficial.
Dependable -- more reliable than spontaneous
People-oriented -- enjoys interacting with people and working on group projects
Ability to commute to Milton, PA 17847 (Required)
Ability to relocate to Milton, PA 17847 before starting work (Required)

Responsibilities

Assist in meal preparation and cook meals following designated recipes and portion sizes.
Handle food in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Support the dietary department in menu planning.
Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
Adhere to proper food handling techniques
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to ensure a consistent flow of necessary ingredients.
Assist in training new kitchen staff and educating them on proper kitchen practices.
Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the kitchen operations.
Assist in other duties related to food service as needed.
