It is conveniently located near the Virginia Beach resort area and is accessible 24/7 for admissions. VBPC provides specialized treatment programs including substance abuse, dual diagnosis, and partial hospitalization. This position is for a Full-time Cook/Prep/Kitchen Utility staff member.

Requirements

• A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of food service, food safety, and sanitation is required.

Nice To Haves

• Vocational or other formal culinary education is preferred.
• ServSafe Certification is preferred.
• Experience with cooking and meal prep in a facility setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food for meals and special functions as needed.
• Prepare patient/staff trays and salad/dessert bars.
• Serve food to patients, staff, and guests.
• Perform cleaning, stocking, maintenance, sanitation, and trash removal as assigned.
• Assist in maintaining high standards of quality, service excellence, safety, and sanitation through efficient use of resources in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
