COOK/Prep Cook
About The Position
Trinity Glen is seeking a dependable and motivated full-time Prep Cook/Cook to join our dining services team. This position plays an important role in preparing quality meals, supporting daily kitchen operations, and helping provide a welcoming dining experience for the residents we serve. As a Prep cook/ Cook, you’ll take an active role in preparing and serving delicious, nutritious meals, collaborating with the Director of Dining Services, and supporting our dietary team. Your contribution will ensure our kitchen operates smoothly and our residents enjoy high-quality meals in a safe, clean environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education and experience.
- Ability to follow recipes and understand special diet orders.
- Strong attention to detail and knowledge of food sanitation principles.
- Prior cooking experience required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare meals according to planned menus, meeting special dietary requirements and portion controls.
- Follow standardized recipes and help plan special meals or introduce new menu ideas.
- Train, coach, and supervise dietary staff to maintain excellent service standards.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation, following daily cleaning schedules.
- Report equipment and supply needs to keep the kitchen running efficiently.
