About The Position

Psynergy Programs is a leading provider of residential treatment for chronic mental illness in California, partnering with counties and behavioral health departments to offer rehabilitation and specialty mental health services. They operate in an enriched residential environment focused on support, skill-building, and treatment, with adjoining outpatient clinics. Psynergy is seeking dedicated team members to uphold high standards of care in both residential and clinical treatment.

Requirements

  • ServSafe certified or receive certification within 90 days
  • Vaccination against COVID-19
  • Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Ability to stand for 7.5 hours
  • Ability to work in temperatures of 90+ degrees during warmer months
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Great attitude
  • Works well with others

  • Special certifications, skills, trainings, degrees (e.g., CNA, NVCI, First Aid, CPR, Narcan, SUDS, CADC, ARF/RCFE, CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing)

Responsibilities

  • Serve residents delicious and well-plated meals.
  • Maintain a clean kitchen and dining room, adhering to all sanitation and safety rules.
  • Participate in food preparation and portioning, including cutting and cleaning fruits, vegetables, and protein.
  • Produce foods for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and events.
  • Individually prepare breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner for up to 80 clients.
  • Individually clean dishes for meals.
  • Provide excellent customer service and take pride in work.
  • Follow recipes and diet restrictions.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and follow first-in, first-out guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment at all times.
  • Follow infection control procedures and ensure others handling food do the same.
  • Safely handle and maintain all kitchen equipment.
  • Provide restaurant-quality food and plating.
  • Work collaboratively with a small team to provide high-quality meals.
  • Follow healthy portion guidelines within recommended daily allowances.
  • Follow all recipes and guidelines while meeting deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Maintain kitchen equipment in clean and working order.
  • Follow proper rotation and storage of goods, including labeling, stocking, and FIFO.
