About The Position

Join the Culinary Team at Desert Mountain Club! Take your culinary career to the next level at one of North America's premier private clubs. As a Cook III, you'll be part of an exceptional culinary team guided by Master Chef of France, Chef Bertrand Bouquin, while working with talented culinary professionals in a variety of kitchen environments. With seven unique clubhouses and restaurants, no two kitchens are alike. Gain experience preparing a variety of cuisines and dining experiences, from casual dining and upscale à la carte service to banquets and special events, while learning from experienced chefs and expanding your culinary skills in a supportive, growth-focused environment. In this role, you will prepare a variety of hot and cold food items for restaurant outlets, banquets, and catering events while following established recipes and culinary standards. You will work closely with the culinary leadership team to maintain the highest standards of food quality, taste, consistency, and presentation.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in a professional full-service kitchen required.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work well in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary school or apprenticeship program preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and service all food items, to include hot and cold, for all meal periods in the outlets, banquets and/or catering menus according to property recipes and standards.
  • Ensure production of food in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area following safety guidelines.
  • Ensure food meets the quality, taste, and appearance standards of DMC.
  • Check and complete mise en place and pars to set-up the station.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of properly storing, rotating and maintaining products.
  • Maintain comprehensive preparation and knife skills.
  • Ensure outlined prep is completed in a timely manner for the next shift.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
