Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Clark County Health Card
  • Effective organization skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to perform basic math.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ability to present self in a professional, pleasant, confident and well-groomed manner.
  • The ability to work effectively with team members, other department personnel guests.
  • Full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years experience preparing specialty menu items and assisting Chef de Cuisine or Sous Chef in a fine dining restaurant preferred.
  • Culinary graduate or specialty training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the highest quality perishable products are available to prepare menu items.
  • Ability to grill, broil or sautee meats, fish or any high-end menu items.
  • Create and enhance culinary style and preparation exhibit passion for culinary arts.
  • Collaborate with members of culinary team for menu development. Participate in creating new menu items.
  • Follow company recipes according to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Stock, fill and rotate products.
  • Receive and fill special orders.
  • Ensure general maintenance and repairs to work area.
  • Practice safe food handling procedures.
  • Prepare food in view of guests.
  • Assist Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chef with specials of the day and any banquets preparations.
  • Responsible for checking the methods of preparation, sizes or portioning and the garnishing of food.
  • Assist in the cooking and caring of meats, fish and difficult dishes during rush periods.
  • Must provide courteous and friendly service to all staff.
  • Performs related work as requested.
