Under supervision, prepares and cooks food. This is a full-time position with 36 hours per week, requiring evening shifts, holidays, and weekends. The role involves preparing food for various services including cafeteria, patient food service, and catering, ensuring creativity, quality, consistency, and promptness. Adherence to recipe standards, monitoring food levels, and ensuring food safety according to HACCP guidelines are key responsibilities. The cook will also operate kitchen equipment, maintain cleanliness, record temperatures, and ensure equipment is in good working condition. Promoting the mission, vision, and values of SCL Health and abiding by service behavior standards is also expected. Other duties as assigned.
