We are seeking a skilled and reliable Cook II to join our food service team at a high-volume dining facility. This mid-level role is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting meals in accordance with standardized recipes and portion guidelines. Requirements

Minimum of 2-4 years of experience working in a commercial, institutional, or high-volume kitchen environment.
Minimum of 2-4 years of hands-on experience working as a Cook in a commercial, institutional, or high-volume kitchen.
Experience operating kitchen equipment and managing prep timelines.
Solid understanding of food safety and sanitation practices (ServSafe certification preferred).
Strong attention to detail, time management, and multitasking skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Basic math skills for measuring, conversions, and inventory support.
Valid Real ID.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience mentoring or supporting junior kitchen staff is a plus.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals following standardized recipes, portion controls, and dietary guidelines.
Monitor food quality, freshness, and presentation to ensure consistency and compliance.
Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Uphold food safety and sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations (e.g., ServSafe).
Assist with receiving, labeling, and storing food supplies using FIFO methods.
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and supervisors to coordinate meal production.
Support junior staff with guidance and training as needed.
Respond to routine kitchen challenges with practical, timely solutions.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment during high-volume service periods.
