The Hilton Short Hills, located across the street from The Mall at Short Hills, features locally sourced food, an outdoor terrace and lounge, tennis courts, and an indoor/outdoor pool to offer a memorable and enjoyable experience to our guests. We are looking for our next best team member to join our Culinary team. This is a unionized position.
Requirements
- At least two years of experience as a Cook preferably at a hotel.
- Food Handler certification.
- Don’t shy away from physical work and take pride in providing our guest with quality preparation and presentation of the food they order so that they have a memorable experience.
Responsibilities
- Inspects, selects and uses food items of the highest quality in the preparation of all menu items
- Ensure food to order items for customers/guests are in a timely and consistent manner.
- Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards, per check from servers.
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes quality standards, presentation standards and food preparation checklist.
- Date all food containers and rotate.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
