About The Position

Line Cook II at Salish Lodge & Spa is responsible for creating menu magic and making hungry people happy. This role involves showcasing skills by providing daily preparation requirements while working collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure the quality and consistency of food items. The Line Cook II is responsible for reading and interpreting recipes, conducting inventory, and adhering to standards for sanitation and safe food handling procedures.

Requirements

  • Previous cooking experience required.
  • Necessary State Food Handler’s License(s).
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instruction, short correspondence and memos.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily preparation requirements.
  • Work together with the culinary team to ensure quality and constancy of food items.
  • Read and interpret recipes.
  • Conduct inventory.
  • Adhere to standards for sanitation and safe food handling procedures.
  • Possess knife skills.
  • Adjust preparations for flavor.
  • Accommodate customer's needs in a timely manner.
