Requirements

Previous cooking experience required.
Necessary State Food Handler’s License(s).
Ability to read and comprehend simple instruction, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in small group situations to other employees.
Must possess knife skills and the ability to adjust preparations for flavor.
Native American/Alaskan Native preference applies under applicable TERO requirements.

Responsibilities

Utilize specification sheets to prepare daily preparation requirements and maintain par levels of necessary items.
Prepare new menu items under the direction of a supervisor.
Ensure attractive and consistent presentation of food items, both buffet and plated.
Interact with other line cooks to monitor quality, presentation, and consistency of food items prepared.
Handle all needs and accommodate customer requests in a timely manner.
Set up, restock, maintain, and clean food prep areas.
Ensure presentation standards are met for all hot and cold items.
Read and interpret recipes.
Conduct product inventories, and order and receive product under the direction of a supervisor.
Maintain grooming standards.
Adhere to standards for sanitation and safe food handling.
Perform all opening and closing kitchen procedures.
