About The Position

This role is responsible for consistently and accurately preparing food to established guidelines and orders for Fat Tuesday guests. The Cook II will assist in training new cooks, ensure par levels for menu item ingredients are kept in stock, and report shortages to F&B leadership. The position requires timely food preparation, effective communication with team members, and providing feedback on menu item trends. The Cook II must ensure food product served is fresh and meets guest satisfaction, and that food is stored and prepared according to food safety standards. This role also involves wearing personal protective equipment, maintaining a clean workstation, and enthusiastically supporting customer service standards. Compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining confidentiality are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • General Education Degree (GED) or High School Diploma; two years of quick service restaurant related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to count money and change correctly.
  • Must be able to work high volume days, nights, holidays, and weekends, as needed.
  • Must meet professional appearances standards as outlined in company policy.
  • Ability to work in small areas in a fast paced and often crowded environment.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read and communicate verbally in English.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently and accurately prepares food to established guidelines and orders for Fat Tuesday guests.
  • Assists in training of new cooks.
  • Ensures par levels for menu item ingredients are kept in stock. Reports shortages and/or outages to F&B leadership for ordering purposes.
  • Ensures food is prepared in a timely manner according to established guidelines.
  • Communicates with other Fat Tuesday Team Members as needed to provide prompt and friendly customer service according to department and company standards.
  • Provides feedback to F&B leadership team regarding trends of menu items and recommends changes.
  • Ensures food product served is fresh and meets guest satisfaction. Reports concerns regarding food product or ingredients to F&B leadership team.
  • Ensures food product is stored and prepared according to food safety standards and established guidelines.
  • Responsible for wearing personal protective equipment while handling all food products. Ensures food safety standards are following at all times while on duty.
  • Remains knowledgeable on all products in outlet, in addition to all casino events, amenities, and promotions.
  • Maintains a clean and stocked workstation in accordance with established health and safety guidelines.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
  • Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
