About The Position
Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital seeks a Cook I for their GVCH Nutrition department responsible for cooking, planning, and preparing products according to recipes that meet standards of quality and meets portion control guidelines. Also adheres to temperature control and sanitation guidelines and demonstrates and understands the importance of timeliness.
Requirements
- Minimum: 1 year of experience as a cook
- Minimum: Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, knife handling, and sanitation guidelines
- Minimum: California Food Handlers Card
Nice To Haves
- Preferred: Certificate in Culinary Arts or comparable training and work experience
- Preferred: ServSafe certificate
